I'm generally not in the habit of titling posts, but for today I'll make an exception.

K-mart BLOWS!!!

Okay. That's pretty straightforward. In a nutshell, not only do they have an idiotic store staff at the store on the west side of Bloomington, but the manager is rude and callous as well!

In the last few months, I have had problems with 3 companies. Best Buy, Sears, and now K mart.
Best Buy--store refused a refund, so one was promised from customer service at their 800 #. After months it never showed, so I had to write to the BBB. When all was said and done, they mailed me a gift card in the amount of the disputed refund. I hate Best Buy, but bravo to them for eventually handling the problem!

Sears- after a price discrepancy issue I brought to their attention, I was immediately offered a $20 gift card, which I received in about a week. Sears had earned my repeat business!

NOW.. the kicker.. Went to buy a relatively mundane item. Cat litter. It rang up two bucks more than it was marked on the shelf. After some muted responses from their online consumer response, I got a call from the manager last night, who in so many words said I was wrong. Wow. No apology, no "maybe we goofed," no nothing. That's absolutely INSANE. SO.. as I told them, I have no issues with not setting foot in their store. We have Wal Mart, Menards, Target.. quite a few to choose from. I dislike Wal Mart on a large scale, but on a small scale, if you bring an issue to their attention, the fix it immediately.

Okay. THat's enough of a rant. I'm still extraordinarily pissed. I guess I am one of the last people who worked in the era of true customer service.

In the meantime, STAY AWAY FROM KMART!!!!!
